Settings Overview

The topic for this training session is Settings. This will provide an overview of all the Settings menu located near the bottom on the left hand side of the DocketManager screen. It will focus on each icon in Settings and explain what is available in each section: Accounting, Admin, Communications, Customer, and Dockets. It will also explain how these can be adjusted during system setup, and how these settings affect areas throughout the DocketManager system. This session is ideal for system administrators who are responsible for editing the settings during system setup, but is also valuable for other curious users who want to understand how settings in the back side of DocketManager affect drop down menus and functionality in day to day usage. Here are some more details about what is covered in this session:

  • Adjust settings related to Financial fields, how to import Previous Accounts Receivable information, and creation of GL Accounts
  • Adding employees in Account, setting date and time in Configuration, learning how to do a Custom Export of data in .csv format, applying Integrations like Authorize.net, CardConnect and Shippo, adjusting Security settings, monitoring the Time Clock, and Tools to merge customer data
  • Adjusting different Documents in the system, editing Canned Emails, viewing email Records, and monitoring Tasks
  • Creating custom Budgets, adjusting Default Customer settings, examining the Customer/Contact Import/Export tool, confirming locations such as states and countries, and creating Customer and Contact Tags
  • Settings Cutting default rates, examining Department Items and lock-to formulas, General docket setup, how to view Job Templates and Group Templates, adjusting Order Options such as order due options and statuses, seeing products in Point of Sale, examining where Press settings are stored, seeing how you can customize Production queues, modifying default Stock settings as well as Stock Import/Export tool, looking at Docket Tags, seeing how to set Timer Rates, and how to add Vendors/Suppliers
